Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in a downtown location from 6pm to 9pm, with a short break at 7:30pm. Food, snacks, and drinks will be provided and there is some time to socialize with the orchestra members.
Generally, there are five rehearsals prior to each concert plus a dress rehearsal and sound check immediately before the concert.
Currently, there are four concerts scheduled per season (November, February, April, and June). Concerts are generally on Saturday or Sunday evenings.
All music will be provided to you electronically and you are free to either print the music on paper or to use an electronic device.
Upcoming rehearsals for the June 15, 2024 concert will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church at 26 Delisle Avenue (near St. Clair and Yonge) from 6pm to 9pm on the following dates:
- Tuesday, April 9, 23
- Tuesday, May 14, 28
- Tuesday, June 11
For efficiency and other logistical reasons, the order of the pieces for each of the rehearsals will generally be:
- Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto no.1 in the first half,
- Followed by the Beethoven Fidelio Overture in the first and/or second half,
- Concluding with the Wagner Siegfried Idyll in the second half
