Soloists Cristina Sewerin (oboe), Danielle Waxer (clarinet), Chris Buchner (horn), and Robert Lu (bassoon) are thrilled to collaborate on Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds. Having performed together in a variety of orchestras and ensembles throughout Toronto's vast musical community, they share a longstanding musical connection and love of collaborative music making.
Mozart's writing celebrates the distinctive character of each instrument while blending them into a beautifully balanced ensemble. The warmth of the horn, the lyrical elegance of the oboe, the expressive versatility of the clarinet, and the rich depth of the bassoon combine to crate a vibrant and engaging musical conversation. The soloists are excited to bring this interplay and camaraderie to life in one of Mozart's most joyful and charming works.
